Music Grows

Music is a genre of art whose works consist of organized sounds that can evoke sensations or associations. Tones, sounds and noises, as well as their acoustic properties, such as volume or intensity (dynamics), timbre, pitch and tone duration, serve as source material.

The ability of humans to distinguish musical sound events from other acoustic stimuli is one of the most complex achievements of the human brain. Thus, sequences of different individual tones, which are combined into horizontal tone constellations through temporal means such as rhythm, meter and tempo, can be perceived as melodies, while vocal and instrumental polyphony give rise to vertical combinations of different pitches. Music is a cultural asset and the subject of musicology.
