Holidays
A "holiday" is a day off work dedicated to religious observance; to celebrate, originally "to let work rest"; cf. closing time, vacation, or festive day is generally understood to mean a day off work with special holiday rest. All cultures and peoples regularly celebrate certain events of social or religious significance. These are often specially protected by the legal systems of the individual states. They are then referred to as public holidays.
The term holiday is colloquially intended as a distinction from working days on the one hand and weekly rest days on the other. The week rest days are weekly recurring holidays; these have mostly religious reasons. Judaism celebrates the Sabbath as the seventh day of the week in commemoration of the seventh day of creation, on which God rested; the Christian weekly day of rest is the first day of the week, Sunday, in commemoration of the resurrection of Christ; the Islamic day of rest is Friday.

Santa Claus Christmas Holiday Time
Santa Claus is a symbolic figure of Christmas gift-giving that is popular in Germany, especially in northern, central and eastern Germany, and in the rest of the world, especially in Protestant regions such as French-speaking western Switzerland (Père Noël), the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Estonia, Latvia, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States. He is depicted as a roundish, friendly old man with a long white beard, red robe trimmed with white fur; attributes are his gift bag and (in former times also) a rod. Contemporary postcards prove that this depiction already existed in the 19th century. The Coca-Cola Company used this depiction for its own advertising campaigns every year at Christmas time, starting in 1931.Supposedly, Santa Claus brings gifts to good children on Christmas Eve, but only a rod to naughty ones. He thus combines characteristics of the holy bishop Nicholas of Myra and his companion, the servant Ruprecht. The figure of Santa Claus is mainly based on the European legends about Saint Nicholas; however, he is by no means to be equated with him. Nicholas of Myra was a bishop in the 4th century, around whom numerous legends entwine. Already in the Middle Ages, children were given presents on the commemoration day of St. Nicholas, December 6, often the evening before. In the past, this date was also the day on which presents were given, but it was only during the Reformation and as a result of its rejection of the veneration of saints that it was placed on Christmas Day in many countries.European emigrants brought the Saint Nicholas custom with them to the United States of America. In particular, the Dutch colonies celebrated Sinterklaasfeest, especially since Saint Nicholas was also the patron saint of Nieuw Amsterdam, which later became New York. The Dutch Sint Nicolaas or Sinterklaas became the English Saint Nicholas or Santa Claus. Today's popular myth of Santa Claus traveling in a flying sleigh pulled by reindeer, entering homes at night through the chimney and distributing gifts, dates back to the poem The Night before Christmas, published anonymously in 1823.Product Number: E00087Product Name: SantaThis design comes with the following sizes:Size: 3.04"(w) X 3.91"(h) (77.2 X 99.2mm) Size: 4.89"(w) X 6.29"(h) (124.3 X 159.8mm) Size: 6.02"(w) X 7.74"(h) (153.0 X 196.6mm) The following formats are included in the file you will receive: .DST .EXP .JEF .PES .VP3 .XXX .VIP .HUSYou MUST have an embroidery machine and the software needed to transfer it from your computer to the machine to use this file. Merry Xmas
Christmas, also called Christmastime called the Feast of Christmas or the Feast of the Holy Christ, is the feast of the birth of Jesus Christ in Christianity. The feast day is December 25, Christmas Day, also known as the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Latin: Sollemnitas in nativitate Domini), the celebrations of which begin on the evening before Christmas Eve (also Christmas Eve, Christmas Night, Chrismastime). December 25 is a public holiday in many states. In Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland and many other countries, December 26 is added as a second Christmas holiday, which is also celebrated as St. Stephen's Day.Christmas is usually celebrated with family or friends and with giving gifts to each other. In German-speaking and some other countries, gifts are usually given in the evening on December 24 and are considered the most prominent part of the Christmas celebration. In English-speaking countries, gifts are usually given on the morning of Christmas Day. The gift-giving ritual refers to mythical gift-bringers such as the Christ Child or Santa Claus, some of whom are also played. Such rites, like the festival as a whole, serve to strengthen family relationships. Many countries associate other customs of their own with Christmas. Attending a church service on Christmas Eve, the night or morning of December 25 is part of the festive tradition for many people. In Western Christianity, Christmas is one of the three main festivals of the church year, along with Easter and Pentecost. As a church holiday, December 25 is documented since 336 in Rome. It is not clear how this date came about.Emperor Aurelian had set December 25, 274, as an empire-wide feast day for the Roman sun god Sol Invictus; early Christians drew parallels between this sun god and "Christ, the true sun" (Christus verus Sol). The custom of giving presents to children at Christmas in the way that is customary today dates back to the Biedermeier period and was initially restricted to upper middle-class circles, because only they had the living room, which was used like a stage, at their disposal, could afford a private Christmas tree, and could choose children's gifts from the increasingly diverse assortment of toys. Shooting Star
A star (ancient Greek ἀστήρ, ἄστρον astēr, astron and Latin aster, astrum, stella, sidus for 'star, star'; ahd. sterno; astronomical symbol: ✱) is a massive, self-luminous celestial body made of very hot gas and plasma, such as the sun. In addition, a planet in our solar system that is illuminated by the sun is commonly called a star, such as the evening star, although it is not a star like the sun. A star like the sun emits not only light but also radiation in the extreme ultraviolet range (false color representation of the sun's emission at 30 nm). That almost all self-luminous celestial bodies visible to the naked eye are Sun-like objects that appear point-like only because of their far distance is one of the most important findings of modern astronomy. About three-quarters of stars are part of a binary or multiple star system, and many have a planetary system. Stars formed together more often form star clusters. Under favorable conditions, several thousand stars can be distinguished by unaided vision. They all belong to the same galaxy as the Sun, to the Milky Way, which consists of more than a hundred billion stars. This galaxy belongs together with its neighboring galaxies to the Local Group, one of thousands and thousands of galaxy clusters. Stars are formed from gas clouds - in certain regions (H-II region) from gaseous molecular clouds - by local strong compression in several phases. They are held together by the gravity of their own mass and are therefore approximately spherical. While a star's interior is several million degrees hot (in the case of the Sun's core just under 16,000,000 Kelvin), the surface temperature of most of them is about between 2,000 K and 20,000 K (in the case of the Sun's photosphere just under 6,000 K); white dwarfs, as exposed stellar cores, can reach temperatures of up to 100,000 K at their surface. Not only does intense radiation such as light emanate from the glowing stellar surface, but also a stream of charged plasma particles (stellar wind) travels far into space, forming an astrosphere.Stars can differ considerably in mass and volume, as well as in luminosity and color; in the course of a star's evolution these properties change. An orienting classification of stars becomes possible with the two characteristics absolute brightness and spectral type alone. The properties of stars are also of importance in the question whether a planet orbiting them could carry life or not (see habitable zone). Deer German Saying Frohe Weihnachten
The deer (Cervidae) or antlers are a family of mammals from the order of the cloven-hoofed animals (Artiodactyla). The family includes more than 80 species, of which, among others, the red deer, the fallow deer, the roe deer, the reindeer and the elk are also common in Europe. In addition, deer are found in Asia, North and South America and with one representative in Africa. The most distinctive feature of the deer are the antlers, which vary in shape and are usually only worn by the males, which are shed annually and formed anew. The main food of the animals consists of plants, whereby soft and hard plant parts are consumed in varying degrees. However, pure grazers as in horned deer do not occur in deer, which is related to the formation of the antlers. The social behavior of the animals varies greatly, ranging from solitary individuals to the formation of large, widely roaming herds. The reproductive phase is marked by characteristic dominance fights. The phylogeny of deer dates back to the Lower Miocene, about 20 million years ago. Deer also flowed into mythology and culture in a wide variety of peoples. Already in Paleolithic rock drawings both animals and persons are depicted with deer antlers. In Celtic mythology, Cernunnos represents an embodiment of the "deer god," a type also found in other religions. In ancient Greece, the stag was sacred to Artemis, the goddess of hunting. Agamemnon killed such a hind in Aulis, whereupon Artemis sent a wind still and demanded Agamemnon's eldest daughter Iphigenia as an atoning sacrifice. Another sacred hind was the Kerynite hind, which had golden antlers and lived in Arcadia. Heracles had to catch her alive as the third task. Norse mythology also knows deer, so four of these animals eat the buds of the world ash tree Yggdrasil.Product Number: E00084Product Name: DeerThis design comes with the following sizes:Size: 3.54"(w) X 3.91"(h) (90.0 X 99.3mm) Size: 4.99"(w) X 6.47"(h) (126.7 X 164.3mm) Size: 7.68"(w) X 9.80"(h) (195.1 X 248.9mm)The following formats are included in the file you will receive: .DST .EXP .JEF .PES .VP3 .XXX .VIP .HUSYou MUST have an embroidery machine and the software needed to transfer it from your computer to the machine to use this file.
