Handmade Sewing Tailor Scissors

Tailor is a craft apprenticeship in textile processing. The task of the tailor is to process textiles into clothing. Since time immemorial, the tools of the tailor's trade have been needle, thread, scissors and iron, and since the 19th century increasingly also the sewing machine. Due to industrialisation and ready-to-wear production, handicraft tailoring has declined considerably.

Scissors are a tool for cutting or incising various materials without cutting them - usually by means of two blades with cutting edges that move against each other, also called scissor levers or branches. The cutting process is done by pushing the material between the blades at the point to be cut and then sliding them close together. There are different shapes and types of scissors, depending on the material and purpose for which they are intended.
