Embroidery: Which bobbin thread for embroidery

Bobbin thread is a particularly thin thread made of 100% polyester and is available in different colours. Some embroidery machines, e.g. Brother, come with a white bobbin thread already wound on the machine. The bobbin thread does not have to be in the same colour as the chosen upper thread, unless the embroidery result is visible from both sides.

Saving tip for the bobbin thread: If you embroider a lot, you know that embroidery stabilizer, embroidery thread, fabrics and bobbin thread all cost money. Thin overlock thread is ideal for embroidery bobbin thread.
